Starting today, Google’s rolling out their new “Smart Display Ad” system to advertiser accounts.
This is one we’re particularly interested in, display campaigns can be complex, time consuming and require a lot of testing. This new “Smart” system could potentially help reduce the workload for account managers and also improve ROI.
In a nutshell, Google has built a system that in theory is able to dynamically analyse display campaign data and then use this data to auto-optimise display campaigns. They’ve already got a similar system in place on the search side called “Conversion Optimiser”, we’ve seen this work well and are hopeful that Smart Display Ads are also effective.
